Theres a very strong parallel there. Apartheid South Africa was a fine democracy- for whites. Present-day Israel is another fine democracy- for Jews.

There are Arabs as well as Jews who are citizens of Israel. The only legal difference between them is that Jews are required to serve in the military while Arabs are not.
