Religious Views: very complicated. I certainly have no true faith, perhaps but science and knowledge. But always confused

I agree. I'm a former christian, and when I told a pastor that I rejected his 'authority' over me he asked... "Well then who decides who has authority over you... YOU?" To which I replied "Yes." He looked dumbfounded

Right?! I'd rather have authority over myself than give all control over to a being that may or may not exist. It is very incomprehensible to them!
