To be blunt; The argument ' absence of evidence is evidence of absence' is a common logical fallacy, 'argument from ignorance'. The agument is used regularly by ignorant apologists such as Angel and the rest of his shower. Sadly, it is also used regularly by ignorant atheists as an argument against the existence of God(s).
The difference in my experience is that the atheist will often accept his error and learn. The apologist seldom does, insisting in clinging to willful ignorance,unmoved by anything as prosaic as evidence or logic.
