I believe it was sacrafice as Jesus didn't have to die on the cross and go through the pain leading up to it.

If you had a body guard and they jumped in frong of you to stop a bullet and they died, it is a sacrafice.
If they did this and survived it is still a sacrafice.

That's because my bodyguard is a human not a deity.

A scientist got so depressed because he proved with math that altruism does not exist. He used evolution for the math. I bet there would be a different outcome in that equation if he had put spirit in there. He was a wealthy man and he gave all he had to help the homeless. They robbed him and left him with nothing. He found some reason that his actions were not altruistic and killed himself. I think he believed that his actions were for his family, his son that left him. It was because of evolution that he proved altruism could not exist. I don't know I think altruism can be accomplished but you have to be HUMAN.
