Generation x maybe. . . But I'm raising high schoolers right now. My kids have a work week as bad as mine was when I practiced law in a large firm. Their school day starts at 7:30 and ends at 2:30 with a half hour lunch. They have about three to four hours of homework on average. That's ten to eleven hour days. And yes they get summers off. But you can't say they aren't getting a work ethic. I wish less of the homework was make-work. My eldest actually has less homework now that she's taking all AP classes senior year.
