Horrible things in the bible

Few things can cause good people to do evil things than religion. There was a recent thread about someone coming out as gay to his family, and being forced out becase of the belief in the bible. Christianity tears families apart. Jesus said it would happen himself, and made no apologies about it. The people you depend on, and trust the most, could throw you out or may even kill you if you're different.

I don't have to demonize christians. I just need to know my history and see what happens when people are afraid to confide their true self to their own loved ones for fear of being shunned. That's what happens when you have a book that tells you to kill people who aren't part of the group, or even people within the group if they slip up.
