The giant impact hypothesis is still very speculative and many questions are yet unanswered. Considering this hypothetical status I wouldn't call this hard scientific fact and it certainly is too early to conclude that accretion was completed. In fact in recent research Alfred G. W. Cameron (one of the founders of the idea in a 1974 article) and others found that the moon-forming impact probably took place when the earth was still in the phase of accretion. Cameron inferred that from computer sims. He showed that if the earth at the time of impact was around its current mass it would have required far more angular momentum than can be found in the earth-moon system today. However an impact with a half-built earth could do the job under certain circumstances.
