"Jihad" to the violent fucks is an ideology they think will lead to a greater good. By persecuting them as if they are fighting a war on the moral right side of history, you are allowing them to paint themselves as heros rather than face them with the fact that they are just thugs.
I have no problem going after them, but as thugs, criminals. It isn't your intent but the language in it. You call it a war rather than a crime(yes it should be prosecuted at an international scale) you give them a ideology to fight for. If it is not worth fighting for, and we know they are simply criminals, do not elevate them to an army. I do not want them thinking they are fighting for a greater good.
If they are small minded, and they are, then don't call it a war, call it a crime. An international crime yes, but don't call it a war. Small minds need to be treated as small minds.
