You're that guy that will find something to disagree about even when there is nothing to disagree about.
With that being said I would have welcomed him if his 'introduction thread' would have been him introducing himself to the forum like every other person usually does. Or simply don't make an intro thread and post your challenge in the appropriate section of the forum.
Just a thought. No hard feelings of course, but he didn't exactly set himself up for a warm welcome from everyone, and I think you know that, you just like to fuel the fire, which is okay
