God I'm an idiot, I misrepresented my late dad's age - he was born in 1944 and died in 1993, he was 48.
Schools are supposed to educate and provide a safe environment for the students, and to protect the students from bullying harassment and abuse. If a suspected criminal offence is committed then it is a matter for law enforcement, but otherwise it is a matter for the school to investigate and act upon.
