Republicans agree with racists, and racists agree with Republicans

Republicans have variety in their beliefs, the same as everyone else. There are 100 million people in this country who are or lean Republican (many of whom are not white), surely you don't think there are 100 million racists. Also why do people use the term racist to mean white racist. I doubt the black panthers, la raza and other minority racist groups vote Republican. Also the KKK historically has a democratic group and many Southerners still will never vote for the party of Abraham Lincoln.

Then you have been willfully not looking. If you limit your social circle to boring, guilt ridden white liberals, then yes you probably won't run into many racists. If you talk to a black panther who has socialist beliefs, you might find some liberal racists.

That's a pretty good paraphrase of what Bill Maher said a couple of years ago.

It's as stupid now as it was then. There are lots of racists that aren't Republican. Surely you don't think white people are the only ones who are racist? Equally surely I would doubt that minority racists are members of the Republican party.
