1 - I read that it is not easy to get hold of an Islamic State flag. I guess the authorities are rightly watching/banning such items.
2 - I also read the police asked the media not to report the demands of the perp, for operational reasons.
3 - I heard the perp was furious that some hostages got away. Maybe he's not in total control.
His location (in clear view of Channel 7 television offices) gels with his wish that this be known as an attack by Islamic State.
Yeah, it's still a dangerous situation. Hopefully it can be defused one way or another.
