Yes and no.
My friends generally know and are mostly themselves atheists. My fairly-religiously-involved parents know; my mom asked, and we discussed, and then I sought out my dad to tell him, because I don't want to keep things from one parent (and my mom wouldn't tell him, I know, out of respect for my privacy).
My younger brother is agnosticish and I've discussed it with him a lot. My youngest brother is quite religious; I haven't brought it up with him, but if he asks I'll tell him, as I will most people.
On the other hand, I will lie through my teeth to my grandparents. They're nearing 80, are super-religious, and it would break their hearts if they knew I was an atheist. Like, it would literally decrease their quality of life. If they ask point-blank if I believe in god - I don't think I will, because they couldn't even fathom not believing in god, but still - if they ask, I will lie to them. Because I love them. It's tough.
