Hey AT, now that there's been yet another senseless shooting by a mentally unstable violent individual who had no trouble getting his hands on a gun, only this time the tragedy has been heavily exploited by conservatives salivating like they haven't since 9/11, can we have some gun control now? Maybe if this nutcase had some problems getting a gun, these two police officers would be alive today.

Since school shootings aren't enough to warrant a serious discussion about gun control, maybe a shooting that conservatives give a crap about, if only to exploit it for political purposes, will inspire us.
In other news, other conservatives are busy concern trolling over how "hands up, don't shoot" is hate speech that inspires violence (seriously),
"Hands up, don't shoot" is "reckless" and "inflammatory" and "slander"? How gentle must criticism of the police and our justice system be. Is any form of protest acceptable?
And by the way, the "dead cops" protest footage wasn't Al Sharpton's protest but Fox Noise misled viewers to think it was through some clever editing.
What a surprise!
But then again, clever video editing has been used in the past to generate conservative outrage. Remember Acorn? There are never any consequences for the deception. By the time the ruse is revealed, conservatives have moved on to the next thing to be outraged about.
But at least the know how to de-escalate the situation.

Quote:According to police, Ismaaiyl Brinsley, the suspect in Saturday’s double homicide in Brooklyn, had a rap sheet that included 19 arrests in two states over the past decade for robbery and gun possession and served a two-year stint in a Georgia prison.
Brinsley’s family told police that he had a traumatic childhood and for years has been estranged from his family. The family told investigators that he may have had some undiagnosed emotional or mental issues and had as recently as last year attempted to hang himself, according to NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce during a press conference on Sunday afternoon.

Joe Scarborough Wrote:And despite my own views that America's criminal justice system is too unfair to young black males, and I have said it repeatedly for decades, I was blasted on social media as a racist for calling out the St. Louis Rams players. And United States Congressmen for recklessly promoting the phrase "hands up, don't shoot."
I was worried in real time for good reason that using those inflammatory words told anybody listening to them that Michael Brown was gunned down by a white cop while his hands were raised in surrender. I was angered at the inflammatory phrase and warned that using a phrase that the grand jury itself reported was never used, slander SL cops and would make the situation worse for cops across America, and it did. Why? Because words matter. Words matter.

Media Matters Wrote:Fox & Friends Sunday repeatedly spliced footage of Al Sharpton speaking at a Washington, D.C. "Justice for All" march with footage from a separate event in New York City where some in the crowd chanted for "dead cops" to claim Sharpton is "calling to kill cops."
