If I say it is the cosmos, how would you know that I'm wrong?
I personally disagree with you several steps back but was late to the discussion.
Lets get this right, I do not know anything, you can call it the cosmos, but that isn't what is, and any name I call it isn't what is also, but we have to communicate and so we need to use some sort of language, but after using the words which are only pointer pointing to what we cannot know, we then drop the word. Its like digging a thorn out of your foot using another thorn, after the thorn is out, you throw them away.
We give names to things we do not know. We do it ever time we find something knew. We do NOT drop the word just because we learned something about it. When you look up in the sky and see a star. We know that star is a big hot blob of plasma very far away. The people who first decided to call the lights in the sky did not know that. So did we stopped calling stars stars? No. It is the same for the cosmos. We gave it a name, and we recognize it as such.
