Doctor Who season eight

Wow, I can't believe the Christmas special got such good reviews. It was pretty good but I have two complaints:

1. Children watch the show and this episode showed them that Santa isn't real.
2.

At the end Doctor Who wakes up and then saves Clara, but doesn't bother to worry about waking the other 4 who are presumably still trapped while having their brains digested!

I enjoyed it very much. Anyway, I think that:
1. The episode is pretty much ambiguous when it comes to Santa being real or not.
2.

The other people had woken up pretty much on their own already, even though one (the one played by Michael Troughton I think) succumbs.

Whoever wrote that episode has at some time played half life 2.

Hang on, a Half Life reference I didn't catch?
