Put the jet engine right behind the pilots back in a one piece 1/2" think aluminum shell and try that radio again. It isn't even discernable in the audio as they land.
This isn't really the case. An air-superiority/interceptor fighter like the F-16 in the video has precious little wasted weight. This is the engine housing of an F-16, sans engine:
Certainly there will be vibration dampers at the mounting bolts to minimize metal fatigue, but they don't install sound insulation. The frame itself, being a metal skeleton, is not very sound absorptive.
