Sooo, which came first... the universe, or the universe?

A singularity of all the possible matter and or energy in the known universe was there. Out side of that singularity and or around it there was nothing no space or time.

Do you realize that scripture actually teaches this, except for the part where anything existed before God created the matter and the Holy Spirit imparted energy. Well maybe there are things you can learn from the Bible, even though it doesn't purport to teach science, there are little jewels to be gleaned from it. So part of your statement is many thousands of years old.
