I would feel sad if you were murdered also Heywood, or at least as sad as I would feel for any other acquaintance's death. You have a brain that feels fear and pain. If you became a vegetable and couldn't form a thought or experience any pain or pleasure, I would think it was a merciful act to let you die peacefully.
