I would love to read about your experiences in and opinions about China.
All I get here is media misinformation and Phyllis Shafly(sp?) paranoia.
Sometimes I like bureaucracies ability to keep the temporary help (elected officials) from doing something hasty and stupid while they are in office.
What's it like there?
I've got loads of stories, unfortunately a lot of stuff that surprised me a while ago is now normal to me. I've watched several areas develop at an astonishing rate. Ten years ago it was 1 car to a hundred bikes, now everyone wants a car, and well, with a population this size, it's not practical. Traffic jams are not to be unexpected.
I used to be surprised when people referred to a place as a small village, even though it had a population of 400,000. There are people everywhere, and on weekends and holidays it is gridlock of epic proportions.

Welcome!
Not much of a career, it was a favor.

Right on. Seemed like a good adventure at the time.
