As long as gullibility is a virtue, religion isn't going anywhere anytime soon. I don' think religion will ever go away no matter what we do or try to do about it. The only thing that will happen is that it will continue to change with the times but it will always be relevant. As I always say religion is the bane of mans existence: it fosters ignorance, dissension, prejudice, etc. Every bad quality of man is inherent in his/hers religious beliefs.
There is nothing people will not maintain when they are slaves to superstition
