But if I said anything about the bad things atheism did in the past you wouldn't like it too. I respected that and kept it to where we are in the world today. I am not sensitive about any religion and there are 1% crazies in every group everywhere who wish to interfere with other groups- christians, muslims, hindus, Buddhist and even atheists.
BUT now we've reached a limit. And bad things have been done in the name of atheism. Atheist communist states like former Soviet Union under stalin confiscated religious buildings and monasteries, preached ridicule of religion in schools. Don't even get me started on the number of people Stalin or chairman Mao killed. I expect educated people as yourselves to know that the number of people killed during these regimes exceeds the people killed during the Crusades
/ witch hunts.
So see? The good things about atheism like . . . I don't know . . . Secularism, is far outweighed by evils like the communist regimes
I could say that tragic episode is the sole way atheists should be portrayed. But I know it's much more than that. Wouldn't THAT be narrow way of looking at things?
You say a few christians are messing with your civil rights. But a certain communist country of atheists across the ocean are STILL persecuring christians even to this day.
Wouldn't saying atheists follow a murderous ideology be a narrow way of looking at something?
Exactly . . . That's my point
No no no. You are not going to stay and debate? You're just going to make a bunch of baseless assertions and not back them up, right? Nice.
I don't know why it would hurt my feelings if you said something about the bad stuff atheists have done....we are not a team. Even if you had some evidence about some really bad atheists. The things they've done were most likely not done in the name of atheism (because that would make no sense), and their actions do not reflect on me. I do not hold the same beliefs or values as them.
