I agree, let her go and think it over. If she is a good friend, she will care about you enough to come back to discuss it at least. I'm not saying ignore her, but I would say not to bring it up again until she feels ready to raise the subject. If she chooses to ignore you, that is very sad but it's her loss.

I think the most important thing is to let actions speak loudest, and show by example that atheists are decent people and not the spawn of Satan that we are made out to be by religious preachers.

I hope your friend does come around.
