RE: Mississippi wants Bible as the official state book

You know. Stoning people to death for adultery, killing unbelievers, the suppression of women and homosexuals and other wonderful examples of the christian spirit.
Really? This is the best book they could think of? It's not even good when taken as pure fiction. There is no way you could possible interpret it in any positive way. And how exactly would this represent Mississipi as a symbol? I didn't know it was written there. The article states there are multiple good works of literature written there. So really, besides the obvious one, is there any good reason for this? And is this truly the most urgent matter that Mississipi just has to attend to?
Note to self. Do not move to the US.
