Granted, this was after some tweaking and modding to bypass the Metro screen entirely and get back a "real" start menu, but from a technical standpoint it runs fine.
Although, the last version I was running was Vista, so I might not be one to talk.Plus, I really do miss the Aero glass look of Vista/7. W8 just looks so... blah.. compared to that.
8 is a fucking pain in the ass for admins.
But for end-users, once they bypass the idiocy of the touch-screen interface with Classic Shell (or a similar tweak) it's certainly tolerable. As long as you're using it on a stand-alone home PC instead of trying to integrate it into an existing office network, you'll be fine.
