I just want to say I've had a lot of positive experiences with Muslims, and a lot of the negative things in my area are no way exclusively because there's a lot of Muslims.
Muslims are basic humans, I think Islam and religion in general thrives in areas of poverty and chaos, so finding a lot of religion in poor chaotic areas might not be the cause of the poverty but the effect of the poverty.
I do think Islam is very commonly used as a tool to promote segregation, homophobic beliefs and often sexism, but as I've already said, none of these things are exclusively Islamic.
I'm only against Islam because it's bullshit, I don't think it is directly the cause of much more violence in the world than there would be without Islam.
And I do think SOME of the violence seemingly caused by Islam is not that shocking.
I'm not shocked by the beheadings or violence caused by ISIS, why should anyone be shocked by this?
In Mexico drug cartels constantly cut each other up, shoot each other down, entire families killed and so on, violence happens on a daily basis in none Islamic countries but all of a sudden a Muslim does these things and it's jaw droppingly shocking?
On the other hand, if a violent unexpected act happens in a country, and it's against free speech and caused by a religious person being offended, I would be shocked if it wasn't a Muslim.
And I think it's also responsible for a lot of people who have an attitude that the best way to protest against western countries attacking poor Muslim countries is to attack and kill random civilians in western countries.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.
