I recommend the first thing you do is at least be honest to yourself and recognise that you do not have a "lack of belief", rather, you believe there is no God.
Evolution is not a theory, it's a Theory. It's a detailed account of how life came to be as it is, from very simple origins. It is the only account which makes logical sense.
A scientific Theory, (big 'T' Theory), is not a stab-in-the-dark, or a guess. Check out for yourself what a scientific Theory really is.
This post of mine is almost brief as that of YGninja, and ought not to convince you of much. As I said, you must look at the evidence.
How do you find the evidence? Well apart from going out in the field and digging it up for yourself, or taking trips to all the museums of the world, what you can do is you can read books, and watch movies made by people who have dug out the evidence on our behalves. I have seen many good science documentaries on TV, for example.
Perhaps, jackriot100, what you might like to do is ask for people on this forum to give you pointers to some good resources, (loads of us have taken the time to look at what the evidence is, and how satisfactory it is).
Perhaps with your aspiration to be an evolutionary biologist, you might one day be out in the field, or in the laboratory, further uncovering the evidence, and adding to our knowledge, jackriot100. Best wishes to you.
