South Dakota? Stupid? I'll tell you how stupid they are. After wandering in the political wilderness for years, they finally got themselves a Senate majority leader -- and couldn't vote him out of office fast enough. Who did they vote in? John Thune, a man who can lower the IQ in a room just by opening his mouth. Of course, Thune was just the sort of guy the rural, conservative shit-kickers (soon to be known as Teabaggers) were hoping for.

My dad lives in SD, and I can raise his blood pressure at will simply by getting him started on SD politics.
