Maybe he'll surprise. I might vote for him in the primary.

Awesome. It would be great to see him have a chance to take on Hillary, but I don't hold out much hope.

Yeah, saw this in the AM. There may be hope for politics in this country yet.

That's why I think Bernie has played his hand well to this point. He'll never match Clinton's financial firepower, so he has to prove he is viable everywhere and force her to expend resources she might otherwise use to front load the primary season for a quick knockout. It's shaping up to be everything I thought the Democrats' primary contest wouldn't be prior to his entering the race: competitive and interesting. I hope his campaign has legs. With enough media coverage and close polls, he might even narrow the chasm in contributions. If that happens, all bets are off. Clinton must be feeling a bit like Apollo Creed in Rocky II: "How the hell is this happening to me again?"
I'd be happy to see Hillary in the WH but she has a terrible knack for pissing people off - not a good thing in the general. If Sanders can show enough of a following to demonstrate he's a viable candidate, he might be preferable. The timing might be right for a populist message.

Compared to the knuckle-draggers the republicunts are offering there is no alternative to the democratic nominee....whoever it may be. Clinton is not a great campaigner. She just isn't. That's how she was upstaged by Obama in 2008.
This reminds me that last Friday I actually managed to have a not-stunned-into-silence moment with the fundy lady I know and corrected her on Bernie Sanders being a democratic socialist and not a socialist full-stop. Don't know if it sunk in (probably not) or if she even appreciated that there was a difference, but whuyagonnado with dyed in the wool evangelical fundies?

I like Bernie, he seems to have a bit more substance than Hilary. I didn't he stood any real chance against her in a primary, but lately I've been hearing a lot of young people buzzing about him lately. Those crowds are pretty impressive.
