well blasphemy is the notion of disrespecting a god, but the notion of a god is still unproven, so I would say that if you want blasphemy laws, then you better come up with a proof of your god first !!!!

According to even the Bible, the only unforgivable sin is the "blasphemy against the Holy Spirit" which I understand to be the "sin of unforgiveness"
You can "blaspheme God and Christ" but "blasphemies against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven in this world or the next."
Why? Because unforgiveness prevents any issue from being resolved and healed. Anything can be healed as long as people agree to forgive it (or ask "divine help" to forgive it). So this lets healing energy in to renew and restore the mind, body and relations.
Unforgiveness is the one thing that blocks the process of establishing truth for justice and peace. Forgiveness cannot be forced, but must be freely chosen, so without this conscious choice to ask help with forgiveness, it creates a vicious cycle that cannot be resolved. And this is what it means to cause eternal suffering and hell, to stay stuck in a state of unforgiveness where nothing gets resolved.
