Gc, I don't want to make prostitution legal so society can ignore it or sweep problems under the rug. Regulating prostitution will give the sex workers more rights and more power to speak out. Adults who want to be in the sex industry can be trained to recognize when a victim is being forced to sell their bodies. Prostitutes and their clients could report suspicious behavior and help far more victims than anyone else

I think there needs to be another level of law besides civil and criminal
for things like this. I was told it would take a state law to create it.

But some level that is OPTIONAL and local districts can write up their own private policies that all their residents agree to. And put things like drug use, and relationship abuse, and anything else where personal choices are involved (but still has the risk of abuse where citizens want to police against that), but they don't want it to be charged as civil or criminal issues of the state and they DON'T agree to "legalize" it for the whole state.

if abuse issues (not severe enough to be civil or criminal) can be addressed locally by a process agreed to by local communities and all their residents, then they can take responsibility for that level of policing, using their own private system of counseling or whatever.

And only if the abuses extend to the point of becoming civil or criminal wrongs, then it goes to the state level.

Clearly you can't hide abuse of kids and minorities, as how church groups were taking advantage of, which are already considered criminal. But things like pot use, prostitution, relationship abuse that gets into personal decisions, those MAY be able to be managed locally if the people of the state agree to create a separate category, so they don't have to make these things legal for the whole state, and if districts have an agreed system of policing against abuses, where it doesn't burden the other districts that don't want to pay for the consequences of legalization.

I mean taking and using children as sex slaves, selling them for that purpose to others or make profit from them by forcing them into sexual acts they do not want to do, prostitution and porn are just a small part of this. Men and women pay huge amounts of money for children, both male and female, in the age range of 11 to 14, and if anyone doesn't find this sick, then all I can say about them is, they are in them self's sick. These children are shipped all over the world for this purpose and there are Christians following these people over the world to help free these young ones.

That might work for those who chose that route, but most of the horrible sex trade I'm talking about is going on behind closed doors.
That seems to be the response to illegal activities these days, make it legal so society can forget about the problem. Dealing with problems is the way man shows his compassion for others, pushing them aside by things like legalizing, only promotes distrust and uncaring and then those who needed help just give up because we have.

Maybe for the people like ISIS and other hate groups, but most religions will look down upon actions such as I described. It's people who have more desire for money than they have compassion for a persons life, these are users that do these things, people who have no sanctity for human life. They care no more for a person than a bug, plain and simple.

I just watched a small bit on a news cast the other day and the Christians were from either one church or they formed a group from different churches to go into other countries and set these people up and then inform the local authorities to make the arrest, they would have these kids in hand and able to whisk them from the country to save the lives of the kids and themselves. These people keep their identity secret, they need to do so to keep helping and to keep from getting killed. They're secretive and I do not blame them, but ever child they rescue is one saved from horror.

I'm grateful to know you are so committed to stop the scourges of trafficking. I believe this issue is central enough to unify action from both the right and left extremes of both religion and politics.

One approach I found unifying is using the RICO laws to reclaim any property abused to traffic either people or drugs (especially children)
as restitution to the victims and community. By claiming restitution for organized crime, we can turn the economy around, and start repurposing the resources to rebuild the very communities exploited for their poverty.

Dottie Laster is one outreach advocate http://www.lasterglobal.com, who consults with both govt and community groups to be educated on these laws, and seek ENFORCEMENT. Otherwise, the police and counties just seize the property for the govt. When this could be reclaimed by the communities and victims of the trafficking.

I wrote up a proposal to redevelop the border, using restitution from trafficking, to create campuses for military prisons and teaching hospitals, providing jobs and services to remedy the immigration problems. http://www.earnedamnesty.org

I believe if we organize, then all the political and religious groups can work in teams, and convert sweatshops and trafficking into an exchange program to build schools and sustainable communities along the border.
