Giving you kudos isn't enough. You made an excellent point. Most theists aren't drinking poison or snuggling up to poisous snakes because they know that doing so will kill them no matter what the bible says
Most Christians do not snuggle with snakes and drink poison because God give us a brain to know better and understand what the scriptures say. " do not tempt the LORD thy God."
