The last time I saw an error like this, the family I was with didn't want to charge the waitress for her error, which was very expensive seafood, and accepted what she brought. These same guy who did that also once paid for a mistake that some other guests made at another table, because he knew the waitress and didn't want it coming out of her measly pay. Needless to say, she always treated their family as royalty every visit.
If someone like that had been at your table, maybe they would have traded with you. Not everyone can afford the cost of fixing mistakes like that, especially with seafood dishes.
Sorry you didn't like it, and I hope next time, you get an unexpected break and something NICER than you asked for, so it works out in the long run.
If life does send you a little surprise like that in the future, come back and post it here, so we can see if it's true that the debts you forgive will be resolved in kind, usually when you least expect it.
This made me LOL. I almost spit up some sushi. Emily being oblivious FTW.
My most embarrassing comments were trying to be diplomatic on some poorly drawn cartoons on a contest site. It turned out to be an MS Paint War where the point was to draw like a fourth grader. The artist thought it was so funny, she asked me to keep my comments on there as a joke.
[Seriously, if there are some trolls who need rehab in a painful way, if you can restrict them to one thread in a dungeon, I don't mind exercising my skills in verbal waterboarding to get them to talk what their real problem is they are projecting. I see it as an intellectual challenge, but most run away. Instead of a contest to push hot buttons, I want to fix the wiring.]
