Sorry for the double post, but, I just realized I ought to clarify something I said in my initial post to this topic in case people misconstrue. The reason I reckon Muhammad was not a pedophile is because he apparently married her for reasons other than sex. Plus, I've not heard of any other nine year old children he was attracted to.
Aisha was the child of Abu Bakir, if memory serves, so like how members of separate royal families marry each other in order to build bonds I think Aisha was married for that reason, and as we know times have changed. But I buy that argument. But, as I mentioned, this causes different problems for the believer because they would claim secular morality is bad. We just don't marry our daughters off anymore.
