So 11am used to be a work goal. "When it's 11 I get to smoke!" I can still take a break, but it's not the same and I just work through it.
My lungs hurt. Been coughing a lot. Been jittery, quick to anger, very irritable. Been eating terribly unhealthy foods, which surprisingly helps.
I had the same work routine, and watching all of my co-workers go on their smoke breaks and stay behind was killer. The best thing for me was getting a new routine. I would save a specific work thing for that time exactly. Or get up and walk around the office so that I at least felt like I was doing something.
Your lungs are going to ache for awhile. For about a week it hurt for me to even breath. It does get better though, and when you can climb some steps and not be winded, you'll feel better.
The coughing sucks too. For about 2 weeks I was coughing up this blackish-brown stuff, and that's just gross. But again, it gets better, I promise.
Keep up the good work.
