And does Obama strike you as a literary or scholarly type to write a book? Nope, he's always groping for the right words. Words don't come easy to him like they do to normal writers.

I saw an interview of him reading an extract from his own book. He even stumbled with that. He probably didn't write the book.

You guys can't handle the truth because it's too shocking. A week ago, before watching the doco, I would have laughed it off too.

Assuming that writers are erudite is an assumption. Some of us are, others, not so much. Some writers are not too bothered with public speaking, others can't stand being in public, much less speaking in public.

As for scholarly, he's a Constitutional lawyer from Harvard U.
