If a shell could be both a shell and not a shell in the same universe at the same time, then in this universe, 1 could be equal to one and not equal to 1 at the same time, and 1 loses not only its utility as a descriptive tool, it is incoherent of any meaning within such a logically inconsistent universe. At least, thats as far as I can comprehend it right now on an empty stomach!
