I have eaten blood, pigs' blood to be specific; black pudding is among the nobility of dishes. I also like my steak medium rare, though more to the medium end of the scale. Were I not to tolerate doing so would have more to do with personal taste considerations, including animal welfare issues, rather than some random injunction in a dusty and increasingly irrelevant storybook.
