If god cannot be produced or proven, that is sufficient. 'Faith' in science is not a substitute for faith in god. You are using a computer which relies on many inventions and technologies that are dependent on science, and you likely use many other things in your day to day life that depend on science. God did not poof your automobile into existence, or the lights in your home, or the solar-powered calculator on your desk. God has not replaced science in your life, and science need not replace god.
Thus the "atheistic belief system" consists of one item: lack of belief in god. That's it.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
