A couple of things that we have discovered are that Alex K is a British rocket scientist, though he likes to say he is a German physicist, to throw off stalkers. But his impeccable English, like a proper English gentleman, gives the game away. He really should be more careful about that, if he wants to keep the stalkers at bay, but using improper English is anathema to him, so he can't bring himself to do it for a sustained amount of time.
