You have put limits and labels on what I am allowed and not allowed to provide you as evidence. It never ceases to bemuse me how uproarious atheists get when they set up a "If God, then why X?" equation, and have it blown away by a new insertion into the equation by a theist.
One funny thing I have noticed is that when provided with an analogy, most atheists tend to then take that analogy literally. But when presented with a literal scenario, they take it metaphorically and twist it into a different analogy altogether to 'prove' their point!
You've given theists a box to work with, VOID, and you've told them how much it can hold. But here's the thing; your box? It's flimsy and superficial and cardboard as hell, and you can't seem to understand why when a theist presents a completely new argument, your little box explodes.
I have never seen any 'good' arguments or evidence for the existance of a god. I have however seen many poor ones.
here are some of my favourites.
1: the ontological argument: The argument examines the concept of God, and states that if we can conceive of the greatest possible being, then it must exist. Obvious shite if you ask me. Douglas Adams concieved of a super intelligent shade of the colour blue, does that exist? probably not.
2: The first cause argument: The concept that all things have a cause and then they insert god as the cause. This is classic god of the gaps and exploits the fact that the beginning of the univerese is a hard time to study to insert their sky daddy, just because we dont know does not mean god did it.
3: Evidence from personal experience: I mean come on, how many dick heads claim to have been abducted by aliens, if you read medieval histories there are many accounts of people having meaningful relationships with mermaids and meeting dog headed people. No personal experience that cannot be independantly verrified by scientific means is not evidence.
but my personal favourite.
'Aww come on its easier to believe than not, join us'
If you have any others chances are I'll laugh at them too.
