The vast majority of atheists in my local group are ex-Christians. I once asked for a show of hands how many were ex-Christians. Then I asked, "Ok, how many of you, as soon as you lost your faith, went out on a spree of robbery, mayhem and murder?" No hands went up. Only laughter. Nobody loses their morality when they lose their faith.
