For those you of that dont play eve, Almost every item you use in eve was produced by other players, the economy is nearly entirely player run (And very capitalist). Because of this all 5 market hubs grew up very much like modern cities have, somewhat logically, somewhat organically. The largest of these market hubs by far is a Solar system called jita. Now because of the sand box nature of this game, the developer has taken a very hands ff approach to what player are allowed to do, and this including everything from planting spies in enemy corporations, to suicide ganking, to scamming for isk. As a result of that, jita is a bit like a cruise ship port full of people trying to sell you on "Get rich quick" schemes, and seling you knock off rollexs.
The reason I explain that is because in a round about way that is what makes eve great, you are allowed to do what you wish as long as you follow a few basic rules like no halocaust/racist jokes/porn in local, and no threatening to murder people.
people on the internet are so much assholes that they have to be reminded of that.
I actually only know of two people that ever got band. One was only for a few days because he had the title "Hard work will set you free" and the other lost his temper when a director betrayed the corp he worked to build from the ground up. He threatened to murder the dude.
