It's simple bigotry and not religious criticism. The guy doesn't even try to hide the fact that he wants to make a blanket statement of hate against a certain group by his choice of T shirts. And he did that in Arizona. How gutsy is that? I guess you couldn't find any more dangerous place to make that kind of statement.
I don't know this guy from Adam. I haven't even listened to any of his interviews. You may be right and he is a bigot for all I know.
That fully acknowledged, the recent craze of blaspheming against Islam comes as no surprise after Charlie Hebdo (whether some of the proponents are bigots or just criticizing bad ideas). People were attacked for blaspheming against Islam and consequently people want to do it more. This is just as predictable as the rise of "militant atheism" in the midst of the W Bush administration, when evangelical Christians were running around like dickheads being bullies, promoting hate and forcing their agenda through the government. And Christians wonder why there are so many atheists who are just so rude and nasty and angry and my goodness gracious why is this happening?
Cause and effect. If Muslims want people to stop drawing cartoons, they need to stop threatening those who do.
