I actually wouldn't mind having Ned Flanders as a neighbour. I think he's a nice man. He'd be better than the neighbours I have at the moment, that's for sure.
The earlier Ned Flanders I'd be fine with. Later he kind of went crazy for a while, to the point where TV Tropes calls it Flanderization when a certain trait overshadows all others for a character.
Exactly! I was going to mention Flanderization if you hadn't. It's such a useful concept, and it happens all too often when writers are out of ideas.
