I said "yes". Granted, I stopped watching the show 15 years ago, but from my memory he's:
  • Friendly
  • Approachable
  • Doesn't intrude too much
  • Leaves if asked (even if asked rudely)
  • Apart from when he tried to baptize the kids (when he had custody), he doesn't seem to proselytize much.
  • Has awesome tools to borrow.
  • Not likely to keep me awake at 3:00 AM due to noise.
