"Continuing creation" may refer to the creative arguments being summoned out of thin ass by theists.

Aren't new stars being formed even now?  And don't stars create new elements?  Hasn't life forms on Earth changed over time?  Do you really think creation ended billions of years ago?

Hasn't been any creation since homo sapiens sapiens approx. 100-50 tya which completed the 6'th day (the final act for now). Currently in the 7'th day which is: from the end of the 6'th day + undisclosed period time from now (likely a 95% probability less than 100 years) + 7 year tribulation period+1000 year Kingdom of Christ on earth (fulfillment of the Old Testament promise). Then resumption of creation which will have completely new physics, after the current universe is destroyed by fire likened to a scroll rolling up.
