That doesn't help all that much. They still sincerely believe that they are christians, and they don't care what the Vatican has to say, because...They're not catholics!
Anyone can CLAIM to be a Christian, but there are objective criteria by which these things can be determined. Baptism is the means by which we enter into the Body of Christ, and Mormons have screwed that up.
