Saying god wouldn't do it is feeble, because he did do it at least twice in the bible. On one of those occasions, they went through with it, they killed and burned their own daughter as part of a bargain with god.
Your reading comprehension must be terrible, God did not ask them to kill their daughter, they did it of their own choice and it did not make God happy.
Quote:There is only one religious theist I've ever seen answer this question directly, and that is Huggy. He said no, and for that I give him credit both for making a stand and having the balls to answer the question.
I've never shied away from this question, my answers been different from Huggy's but, nevertheless I've answered it every time it was asked of me. I stated the truth of the situation according to the scriptures, you know those things you refuse to believe, those things I live my life by.
Quote:I'd happily answer any hypothetical question anyone put to me, no matter how impossible or contrived, to the best of my ability. I'm confident my worldview is solid. It's very telling that you don't have to go far with some religious theists before they stop being able to do the same.
I believe you think your world view is solid, I also believe it will lead you to suppose those things that can't possibly be, what a waste of life.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
