Forcing someone to submit, be it by psychological blackmail (in this case), physical abuse or otherwise is not consent.
A woman held at gunpoint agrees to have sex with the man holding the gun. She is being forced to. That's rape.
If a spouse doesn't want to have sex but is being told that it is a sin if they don't, that's blackmail and forcing them to have sex against their will. Rape.
